Manage your passwords online

by The Mandarin 4/24/2008 10:53:00 AM

Do you suffer from online password overload?  The clipperz website will help you deal with all your passwords used online. They say;

"Clipperz is a free and anonymous online password manager. Local encryption within the browser guarantees that no one except you can read your data. Nothing to install"

I have not tried this service yet but I intend to give it a whirl because I have password amnesia from time to time and frankly I think we have to remember way too many passwords.  Incidentally clipperz wants to do more:

"Clipperz is not just a password manager, it’s a personal online vault for any kind of sensitive data, from burglar alarm codes to confidential notes"

My only concern will obviously be security but I guess they must have thought about that given the sensitive nature of passwords in the first place.

To tweet or not to tweet

by The Mandarin 4/22/2008 8:10:00 AM

Although the twitter service has been around for a while I have not really gotten into it.  In their words:

"Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?"

I can see the benefits of such a service and I must say it is phenomenally popular, so I will be signing up and checking out the service soon.  Stay tuned for my updates about the service.
