The last BarCamp meet up in Vienna was on the 26th of January and its not clear when the next one will be, however there are other bar camp meet ups in other parts of Austria.

There was a meet up on the 2nd & 3rd of February in Klangenfurt which is the capital of the Corinthia region of Austria incidentally Corinthia is pretty close to the border with Italy.

Whenever the BarCamp event comes up in Vienna I'll pop along to see what is happening on the Viennese start up scene.

The BarCamp event was started in America and now barcamp events happen all around the world, essentially;

"BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants"

  I'm not sure I like the formal presentations as I prefer informal discussions.
